Open Folk CIC is governed by a Board of Directors in accordance with its Articles of Association and the Companies Act 2006. The Board is collectively responsible for the strategic direction, financial oversight and compliance of the organisation. An Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held each year.

Board meetings are held at minimum quarterly, with decisions recorded in formal minutes.
A quorum of two directors must be present for valid decisions to be made.

As a CIC, our assets are locked for community benefit. In the event of
winding up, any residual assets shall be transferred to Hartlepool Indo
Malayalee Association CIO (Charity Reg. No. 1214132).
Open Folk CIC is not established or conducted for private gain. Any surplus
or assets are used principally for the benefit of the community, in
accordance with our Articles of Association.
